Bill Joe Marcum, 79, of Centralia, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2017 at SSM Health St. Marys Hospital in Centralia. He was born April 14, 1938 in Centralia, son of Stacy and Agnes (Brasel) Marcum. He married Marie Emily Shields and she preceded him in death on August 29, 2008.
He is survived by a daughter, Barb Albert and fiancé Allen Simmons of Centralia; a grandson, Fory Albert and fiancé Chelsea; a brother: Lyle “Fish” Marcum and wife Pat of Centralia; two sisters: Jean Cobb of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Carol Marcum of Chicago; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, son, three brothers: Richard “Dick” Marcum, Roger Marcum, and George Marcum; and two sisters: June Syznowski and Lila Keller. Bill was a member of the First Christian Church in Centralia. He was a member of the Centralia Elks Lodge 493. He enjoyed playing golf and watching his grandson play sports. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family, friends, and his loyal dogs.
