She was born December 10, 1946, in Zamiglvepalli, India, a daughter of Lingamaeni Sivaji Rao and Potluri Srikrishna Veenamma. Bharati was united in marriage to Dr. Kesava R. Potluri, in India; together, they moved to the United Sates, 35 years ago. She was of the Hindu faith.
Bharati is survived by her husband, Kesava; a daughter, Shalini Potluri; two sons, Suneel and Sudheer Potluri; a sister, Vegunta Rajyalakshmi; a brother, Lingamaneni Suryanarayana Rao; and a granddaughter.
