Mr. Beverly M. Holley Jr., 85, of 5861 Irish Road Chatham, Va. died Friday Dec. 18, 2009 at Piney Forest Health Care Center, after a decline in health . He was the son of the late Beverly M. Holley Sr. and the late Madie Powell Holley. He was born July 27 1924 in Pittsylvania County. He was married to Inez Hearp Holley for 64 years who survives. He attended Emmanuel Pentecostal Holiness Church, and was a life long farmer. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in WWII. In addition to his wife he is survived by, one daughter Bonnie H. Thompson and her Husband Ray of Danville, Two Sons Beverly “Monte” Holley III of Dry Fork, and Derek F. Holley and wife Mary Beth, also of Chatham, one sister Eva Holley Stowe of Dry Fork. one Brother Everette “Johnny” Holley of Dry Fork, five grandchildren Holly Jones and her husband Cary of Danville, Jennifer Mays and her husband Mike, of Martinsville, Beverly Holley IV of Daytona Beach Fla. Austin Holley of Chatham and Collin Holley of Blacksburg, four Great-Grandchildren. Hunter, Harper, and Haven Jones of Danville, and Grant Mayes of Martinsville, Va. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by one daughter, Stormy Gayle Holley, one sister Dorothy H. Hayden, and five brothers, Willard, Morris, Randy, George and James Holley, one Grandchild, John Christopher Thompson.
