Beverly J. Riney age 84, loving wife, mother, grandmother, died peacefully on February 11, 2016. Beverly was born June 19, 1931 in Spokane, Washington to daughter of Fred and Brunett Turner. Beverly had a zest for life, enjoyed reading, painting, children, and music.

In 1953, Beverly united and married the love of her life, Lester Riney; upon completion of nurses training from Sacred Heart School of Nursing in Spokane Washington, where she was the second African American to ever graduate. Her career in nursing was at various hospitals throughout the country and over-seas where she finally retired from Davis Hospital and Medical Center after serving for 20 years. In addition to raising seven children, she was active in scouting, school PTAs, senior association and the NAACP. She also had two small businesses; one in Mary Kay and the other in Primerica.

Beverly was an active member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic church where she was also a member of the choir.

She is survived by her loving husband, Lester; children, Anita Johns, Barbara Spratley, Catherine (Katy) Riney, Darlene (Dee-de) Riney, Ella (Gary) Carter, Lester Tony (Sherri) Riney, Michael Riney; 17 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; sister, Katherine Young. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Zenis Blocker, Nadine McKinley and Jeannie Budford.
