Beverly Myrtle Dutton, 83, of Idaho Falls, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2019. Beverly was born on July 16, 1935 in Pocatello, Idaho, to William Francis Drowns and Lodema Chatterton Drowns.

Beverly is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Francis Dale Drowns and Edward Willis Drowns, and one sister, Margaret Kathryn Simpson.

Beverly enjoyed listening to music, especially Elvis Presley and classic country. She liked to draw and color, and would share her artwork with others. She loved shopping, going to movies, and eating out with her friends.

Beverly loved her family and took good care of her younger siblings. As a young woman, she was adventurous and fearless and often told stories of the wild times she had, hitchhiking and riding with boys on motorcycles. She was married more than once, but ultimately preferred the single life.

Beverly lived in the home of the Benson family for the past four years, with her beloved sister Kathy. She worked and learned at the Development Workshop and The Joshua D. Smith Foundation and loved the friends and staff she spent time with. She especially enjoyed her weekly bowling time, and would come home and tell about how she had made a strike for everyone in her home.

The Benson family would like to thank all of Beverly’s friends, staff, and caregivers for the love and support shown her over the years. Her sweet smile and concern for others make her a truly wonderful individual and we will miss her dearly.
