Beverly Ann Goos, the only child of Clara Ann “Hooty” Schriner First, was born November 21, 1942 at Riverton, Nebraska. She departed this life following a brief illness on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at the Webster County Community Hospital at the age of 74 years, 7 months and 24 days.

​Bev received her formal education attending school in Riverton, where she graduated with the class of 1960. She continued her studies for two more years attending business college at Omaha.  She was united in marriage with Virgil Alvin Goos at the Congregational Church in Red Cloud. This union was blessed with a daughter, Becky, and a son, Randy.  While living in Lincoln, Bev was employed with the Nebraska State Game and Parks commission and thoroughly enjoyed the work. Following their move to Red Cloud in 1977, they opened the Stock-Aid Liquor Store. She was also employed for several years at the librarian at the Red Cloud High School.

​In her leisure time she was an avid reader. Bev’s greatest love and enthusiasm in life was for her family.  She deeply treasured the time they spent together.

​Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Virgil Goos of Red Cloud; daughter, Becky Lyon and husband, Leon, of Alma, Nebraska; son, Randy Goos and wife, Lisa, of Red Cloud; five grandchildren, Tyler Ferebee and wife Betsy of Pawnee City, Nebraska; Joel Ferebee and wife Amy of Kearney, Nebraska; Rowdy Goos of Jewell, Kansas; Alis Hadley and husband David of Kirwin, Kansas and Taylor Goos of Dodge City, Kansas. Also surviving are eight great grandchildren, Zeke, Millie and Thad Ferebee of Pawnee City, Nebraska; Dillon, Jadyn and Oz Ferebee of Kearney, Nebraska; and Zoey and Colt Hadley of Kirwin, Kansas; other relatives and friends.
