Bevan Eugene Hales

TREMONTON- Bevan Eugene Hales was born on May 14, 1931 in Riverside, Utah to Ronald Eugene Hales and Grace Farnsworth Hales. He passed away on June 16, 2016 at his home in Tremonton with his loving wife, Cleo by his side. Bevan served his community as a volunteer EMT and firefighter for Tremonton City for 50 years and was also employed by Thiokol as a firefighter. He married the love of his life, Cleo Ida Merritt on October 8, 1954. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple. Bevan loved the church. His faith and testimony were strong. He loved serving in the bishopric and in the High Priest presidency, but he felt the most important calling he had was that of a home teacher. He truly loved every person he visited.
Bevan is survived by his wife Cleo, son Kerry (Denise) Hales and daughter Robyn Hales. Also survived by his sisters Lola (Frank; deceased) Allen, Deanna (Stephen) Jones, Carolyn (Rick) Purdy; brother Thane (Joan) Hales; grandchildren Keri (Russell) Patterson, Keisa Hales, Ginger (Brant) Neider, Marissa (Billy) Salguero, Benjamin (Tiffany) Hales, Jeremy (Jentrie) Hales; step granddaughter Ashley (Nate) Walters, eight great-grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Sharon, his son Kim and grandson Jordan.
Meeting with family will be Thursday, June 23, 2016 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
