Mrs. Vesta Jackson of Newnan died March 10, 2014, at Autumn Square in Carrollton. She was born on February 25, 1923, in Carroll County.
In addition to her parents, Henry Andrew and Claudi Beatrice Eley Jackson, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Curtis Jackson to whom she had been married since 1947. Mrs. Jackson was a graduate of the Georgia Baptist School of Nursing and worked for 43 years with Newnan Hospital and Dr. Joe Parks. Mrs. Jackson is survived by her daughter, Brenda Jackson of Ray City, and her grandsons, Aaron and B. J. Presley. Also, surviving are her sisters; Bonnie Echols of Bowden GA, Louise Olsen of Tampa, FL, and Agnes Ward of West Point, GA. Her surviving brother is Charles Jackson of Douglasville, GA. There is a large extended family of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
