Beulah Stuart Bell, 82, Verl’s blue eyed blond sweetheart, mother, grandmother and sister, passed this life to be with parents, brothers, son-in-law and granddaughter, Thursday, March 28, 2007. What a grand reunion she is having, while she is finally able to place her mortal, frail body aside, and walk and dance with joy. Beulah died at the Hillcrest Care Facility, due to complications of an infection from knee surgery done in November, 2006.

She was born in Pocatello, Idaho to William and Melvina Pope Stuart, October 19, 1924. She was the youngest of three brothers and one sister, and was raised in the Tyhee area on the family farm, and has resided in Pocatello all of her life. She was a graduate of Poky High School, along with her sweetheart and spouse, Verl W. Bell. Their romance of two years, along with 65 years of marriage, culminates 67 years of love and happiness. They were married on October 24, 1942, and in the Logan Utah Temple, for all eternity, on May 4, 1943. After only one month of marriage, Verl left to serve in World War II. Over the next two years, Beulah was able to spend only short amounts of time with him.

The Bells were blessed with two girls and four boys (one set of twins). Her children agree, their best memories were coming home from Greenacres Elementary School to have lunch with their Mom. There was always the aroma of fresh-baked bread and polished wood floors.

Together the Bells owned and operated several local businesses, including Bell’s Trucking, Bell’s A&W Root Beer Stand and the 39 Flavors/Stinker Gas.

She is survived by her loving husband, Verl; children, Connie (Cliff) Spears, Ted (Robyn) Bell, Ned (Michelle) Bell, Janet Moon (Bill) Cullumber, Leonard (Loa) Bell, all of Pocatello, and David (Rose and former daughter-in-law, Carla) Bell of Ogden, Utah; sister Dorothy (Erwin) Mangum, Pocatello; sisters-in-laws, Ada Stuart, Evelyn Stuart, Betty Stuart, Thelma Bell, Norma Bell; Verl’s sister Dona (Doug) Trego; and 31 grandchildren and 50 great grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
