Betty Soliz Baer went to be with our Lord Sunday, January 19, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Betty was born August 11, 1953 in Silver City, NM. She touched many hearts with her kindness and the beauty within her. She was an avid hard core Dallas Cowboy fan, a homemaker, and savored her bean tostadas. She was employed as a manager with RX Fee System pharmacy and Managed the Silver Senior Citizens Center, where she shared all her love and care for the elderly. Betty was a loving wife, a caring mother, daughter and sister. She deeply adored her grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her loving sister Rose Soliz in 2000, her father Robert Madrid, 2007 and Jimmy Madrid Soliz in 1955, her brother Robert Madrid Jr. In 2019 and her son Steve Ray in 1975, her sister-in-law Pat Rost of Sierra Vista in 2009 and aunt Beda Saborio in 2019.
She leaves behind her loving husband Douglas Baer of 30 years, two daughters, Veronica and husband Peter Valdez of Tucson, AZ, and Brooklin Baer of Silver City. She also leaves behind her beloved mother, Ernestina Padilla Chacon and husband Manuel Chacon of Santa Clara. Her sister and best friend, Dina Madrid of Deming, NM, Two brothers Ronnie and wife Reyes Madrid of Buchanan Dam, TX, Richard and wife Tina Madrid of Tucson and her sister-in-law, Lydia Leon Madrid of Marble Falls, TX. Her aunt Isabel and Tony Apodaca of Tucson, AZ, Grandchildren: Jasmine Valdez, companion, Eddie Ituralde, Klarissa Valdez and companion Miguel Alcaraz and Peter Valdez all of Tucson, AZ.
Her adoring Grandchildren: Lucas and Gabriel Moreno, Diego Corral and Layla Gomez of Silver City. Great grandchildren EJ Ituralde and Arielle Ituralde and Mariah Skyé Alcaraz, of Tucson, AZ. Betty’s beloved sister and brother in law, JoLynn and Greg Black of Sierra Vista, Az, Brother in Law John Rost of Sierra Vista AZ, Her loving niece Debbie and husband Bruce Shannon of Silver City. Other Special nieces and nephews, Brittany, Brendon and Celina Shannon of Silver City. Buddy and Deanna Eby of Mimbres, NM. Bobby and Laura Black of Prescott, AZ.
