Betty Sanders Smith, age 87, of Manassas Park, Virginia passed away Friday, January 22, 2016 at the Novant Health Prince William Medical Center. She was born on July 21, 1928 in Great Falls, VA the daughter of the late Page and Mary (McCutchen) Sanders. She was a retired Special Needs Assistant for the Prince William County Schools. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stewart Smith. Survivors include her children Mike Smith and wife Sissy of Bogart, GA and Cindy Fiel of Hopewell, VA; grandchildren, Angela Sousa and husband Ben, Erin Huffman and husband Matt, Violet Spears and husband Adam, Michael Smith, Jr, Stewart Smith, Miriam Smith, Abby Smith, James Smith, Chad Cooper and Carrie Cooper; also 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was Aunt Betty to many she knew.
