Betty (Maxwell) Draughon, 83, of Habersham, Georgia, passed away suddenly at St. Luke’s Hospital in Fountain Hill, Pennsylvania. Born in Perkins, Georgia Betty was the daughter of the late Jack and Mattie (Chester) Maxwell. Betty is predeceased by her husband, Jerry C. Draughon. She was a graduate of Spartansburg College in South Carolina. Betty worked as a Medical Transcriptionist for many years and retired from University Hospital of Augusta, Georgia. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Augusta, Georgia.
Survivors: Betty is survived by her Daughter, Cindy Draughon Hamrick of Bethlehem, PA; Son, Phil Draughon of Chicago, IL; Grandchildren, Erica Cathryn Duff and husband John of Macon, Georgia, Marlaina Elizabeth Hamrick and companion Anthony Savage; and her Puppy Dogs Bridget and Pogo.
Services: Betty will return home to Perkins, Georgia to be inurned next to her loving Mother.
