STAFFORD, Betty Mae, Of Kalamazoo. Vallejo, CA. Betty passed away Thursday, September 2, 2010 in Vallejo, CA, where she had spent the past several years. She was born July 30 1927 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of William and Georgena Duncan Simpson. On February 18, 1956, she was united in marriage to Gerald “Pete” Stafford in Kalamazoo, who survives.
Also surviving are her two daughters, Judy Lewis of Vallejo, CA, and Derotha Cross of Kalamazoo; four grandchildren, Dale and Tangie Lewis of Benicia, CA, Karlesha and Alan Fleming of San Pablo, CA, Theresia Burton of San Pablo, CA, Anenha Norris of Concord, CA; five great-grandchildren, Cory, Ciara, and Kayla Lewis, Titus Fleming, and Michael Nowland; special cousins, Phyllis Greene, Elnora Rodriguez, Robert Simpson, and Jerry Berry; and a host of other cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family. Preceding her in death are her parents; two brothers, William Simpson, William Simpson as an infant; and one sister, Joyceann Simpson.
