Betty passed away Sunday, February 9, 2020 at her residence at the age of 88 years. Betty was born on February 8, 1932 to the late Joseph Turask and Nellie Morrison. She enjoyed donating to the Bay Area Women’s Center and the Bay County Humane Society. In her spare time she enjoyed shopping, sewing, quilting and gardening.
Betty is survived by her children, Curtis (Kyoko) Hammond, Kitty (Richard) Banaszak, Joseph (Mary) Hammond, Jeffrey Hammond and Sue Marie Papajesk; grandchildren, Curtis III and Kai Logan Hammond, Melissa and Adam (Renelle) Bedell, Craig (Jennifer) Hammond, Colleen (Troy) Boelter, Cara and Jeffrey James Hammond and Michael Papajesk; ten great grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Knapp; granddaughter, Caitlynn Hammond and several brothers and sisters.
