Betty Lou Cobb, 65, of Goshen, passed away in her home Wednesday, March 5, after having been ill in health for several years.

She was born in Mountain City, Tenn., on Oct. 29, 1948, to the late Charles and Hazel (Robinson) Matherly.

On Sept. 7, 1968, she married J. Wayne Cobb in Osceola.

He has preceded her in death, along with her brothers, Robert and Bernard Matherly.

Surviving are her daughter, Jacinda (Andy Mahaffa) Cobb of Goshen; her son, Vincent (Sherrie Manges) Cobb of Middlebury; sisters Beverly Ward of Elkhart and Bonita (Greg) Bemis of Osceola; and a brother, Benny Matherly of South Bend.

Betty was a self-employed florist and interior decorator in the Elkhart area for more than 30 years. She also assisted in designing interior layouts and decorating RVs and motor homes for the numerous shows that took place in the area. She was a former member of Cedar Road Missionary Church. She was an avid animal lover, leaving behind her cherished cocker spaniel, Cassie.
