Betty Lou “Booty” (Cross) Mason, age 79, of Beulahland Assisted Living, formerly of Woodyard Road, Grafton, passed away Monday, July 5, 2010 following an extended illness. She was born in Grafton, WV, January 1, 1931, a daughter of the late Walter Gay Cross and Arlie May (Nutter) Cross.
Mrs. Mason was retired from Phillips Lighting, formerly Westinghouse.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen A. “Bud” Mason, Jr., October 23, 2004.
Surviving are: one sister, Pauline Reed of Grafton, one brother, Paul Cross and wife Anna of Grafton, WV; one brother-in-law, Bill Mason and wife Helen, of Grafton; two and sisters-in-law, Mrs. (Hayward) Daisy Hammond, of Mississippi, and Joy and Walter Allison, of St. Petersburg, FL; one special niece, Tammy Foley and husband Chuck, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by: three brothers, Harold Cross, Hayward G. Cross, and Howard Cross; and two sisters, Veda L. Upton, and Mabel Martin, two brothers-in-law, Charles Reed and Austin Upton; and two sisters-in-law, Mrs. (Harold) Josephine Cross, and Mrs. (Howard) Ruth Cross.
