Betty L. Vollman, 89, formerly of Trout Run, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, February 14, 2011 at the Williamsport Home following an extended illness.
Betty’s husband, Merlin O. (Pete) Vollman, died on December 8, 2005.
Betty was a member of White Pine United Methodist Church and a life member of the church’s Ladies Aide.
Betty was the Cogan House Township Secretary for 21 years.
Born June 30, 1921 in Cogan House Twp., Lycoming Co., she was the daughter of Earl and Velda Bonnell Hughes.
Surviving are a son, David O. (Nancy) of Trout Run; daughters, Mary Louise (Jim) Mertes of Cogan Station, Shirley A. (Gordon) Patterson of Trout Run and Lana M. Fritz of Williamsport; brothers, Carl and Robert (Cy) Hughes both of Trout Run; sisters, Mary Wilson of Williamsport, Dora Coursey of New Castle, DE and Lois Hughes of San Antonio, TX; twelve grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Betty was predeceased by a brother, George Hughes and a sister, Ethel Collister.
