Betty L. Richter Sauerwein, 75, Anderson, passed away suddenly February 15, 2010 in her home. She was born October 16, 1934 in Collinsville, Illinois, and resided in Anderson since 1954.
Betty was a 1952 graduate of Collinsville High School. She retired from Roby’s Plumbing in 2004.
Betty was a member and treasurer of Whetstone Christian Church. Betty enjoyed gardening, traveling, spending time with her grand-kids and playing the slots.
She is survived by her four children, Stan & wife Heather Sauerwein of Denver, Colorado, Brian & wife Tina Sauerwein of Lapel, Vicki & husband Dan Hise of Middletown and Bret & wife Karen Sauerwein of Rochester Hills, Michigan; grandchildren, Misty & husband Keith Zicafoose, Garrin Sauerwein, Holly & husband Chris Welter, Devin Sauerwein, Tony Hise, Tyler Sauerwein, Andrea Hise, Brittney Sauerwein and Dakota Sauerwein; step-grandchildren, Mariah Robertson, Craig Wilson and Joseph Landaker; one great grandchild, Myla Zicafoose; brother, Alvin & wife Kris Richter of Collinsville, Illinois; sister-in-law, Agnes Richter; several nieces, nephews and many dear friends including special friend, Evert Orebaugh.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years who passed away July 19, 2006, Mayo Sauerwein; parents, William & Aleida Krapp Richter; sister, Viola Kamer and brothers, Lester, Elmar, Bob, Orville and Melvin “Butts” Richter.
