BROOKSVILLE, FLORIDA – Betty L. (Royer) Davies, 74, formerly of Muncie passed away on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Oak Hill Hospital in Spring Hill, Florida. She was born July 14, 1938 in Muncie to Jesse Royer and Madge (Brummett) Simmers. Betty attended Muncie Central High School and Daleville High School. She went to cosmetology school in Chicago, Illinois and worked at Ball Stores, Estee Lauder and Revlon cosmetics companies. Betty was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority.
Betty is survived by her loving husband William E. (Bill) Davies, a son Steven Harmeyer and daughter-in-law Lori; Muncie, sister Linda Beckham (husband-Chad); Muncie, brother Rev. Larry Threet (wife-Maria); Lexington, South Carolina, four grandchildren Scott Harmeyer, Stacie Harmeyer; Seth Harmeyer; Matthew Harmeyer; two great grandchildren Destinee and Elijah, one aunt Jane Hulse and several nieces;
nephews and her dog Buddy.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents Jesse Royer and Madge Simmers; sister
Shirley Thrasher and brother Benny Royer.
