Betty June Schooley, 80 of Fellowsville, WV, went to be with the Lord Saturday, December 18, 2010 at Preston Memorial Hospital with family by her side. She was born October 11, 1930 at Kanetown Road in Tunnelton, daughter of the late James Arthur and Louisa Hershman Martin. Betty worked as a waitress and cook at the West Virginia Truckstop in Fellowsville and retired from Sterling Faucet/Kohler of Reedsville and Morgantown. She was a member of the United Steelworkers/AFL-CIO. Betty was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Col. Rowan Post 2345 VFW, member of the Evansville United Methodist Church and taught Sunday School Nursery Class, loved to bake and cook and made the best meringue pies. Betty was a beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Aunt. Surviving are one son, Gary and wife Linda of Fellowsville; one grandson, Justin L Schooley, Martinsburg, WV; one sister, Mildred Hackney of Morgantown. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Joyce Schooley in 2005, one granddaughter, Janel Maureen Schooley in 1988; one grandson, Jeffrey D Schooley in 1978; five brothers, James Russell, Edward, Charlie, John and William “Bud” Martin; seven sisters, Connie Martin, Nona Martin, Mamie Deavers, Gertrude Holbert, Cora Bowman, Lanah Ping and Rudell Calhoun.
