Mrs. Fite was a member of the America Legion Auxiliary of Okeechobee and Eagles of Georgetown. She enjoyed bingo and playing cards with her family and friends.
Mrs. Fite was preceded in death by her father Carl W. DeFosse; mother, Vernon E. DeFosse; brother, Billy G. DeFosse; sisters, Margaret A. Fite, Nancy C. DeFosse; daughter, Holly D. Peyton; and sons-in-law, Terry J. Allen, and Harold L. Wells.
She is survived by her husband, Clarence E. Fite; sister, Christina J. Nesbitt; children, Terry L. Allen, Peggy L. Wells, Cathy J. Owens (James M. Owens, Jr.), Kay A. Combs (Donald R. Combs), Bobby J. Fite (Monta L. Fite), and Penny W. Fite (Jerry Martin); son-in-law, Larry D. Peyton; 17 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
