Betty Jean Wilson, age 84, died Sunday, November 17, 2013 at 2:30 a.m. at her home in Salem. Betty was born September 11, 1929 in Richmond, Ohio, the daughter of the late E. Russell and J. Marie (Hile) Wilson. She had been employed at the Robert Bycroft Sheltered Workshop and had also worked on her family’s farm. Betty was a member of the Salem First Friends Church. She had participated in bowling with the Special Olympics and had won several medals. She was a member of the God’s Love Fellowship Group, enjoyed traveling and took several trips with members of Threshold. Survivors include 2 brothers, Wayne (Jeanne) Wilson of Salem, Ohio and Paul (Jennie) Wilson of Knoxville, Tennessee along with several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Virginia McClurg and Verna McClurg.
