Muncie-Betty Jean Scroggins, 85, passed away early Friday morning, August 31, 2012, at the Elm Croft Senior Living Center following an extended illness. She was born on July 6, 1927, in Muncie, the daughter of John William and Dora E. (Lutes) Parmer.
Betty married the love of her life, William “Buck” Scroggins Jr. on September 1, 1947 and he preceded her in death in 1999. Mrs. Scroggins graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1974.
She was preceded by her husband of 51 1/2 years, William “Buck” Scroggins Jr., she is preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Bessie M. Burtner; one brother, Charles A. Parmer.
