Betty Jean “Boots” Haney, age 91 of Hepzibah, WV passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Clarksburg Nursing and Rehab. She was born March 30, 1926 in Lamberts Run; the daughter of the late Stanley DeWitt and Opal (Martin) DeWitt.
Betty is survived by two nieces, Sherry DeWitt Clark of Hepzibah, WV and Janice DeWitt Shaffer of Grafton, WV; three nephews, Don DeWitt, Jr. of Florida, Stanley DeWitt of Hepzibah, WV and Robert DeWitt of Hepzibah, WV; four sisters-in-law, Eva DeWitt of Spelter, WV, Nancy Petrigac & her husband, Danny of Clarksburg, WV; Margaret Haney of Hepzibah, WV, and Phyllis Haney & her husband, Berdett of Hepzibah, WV; her last first cousin, Lee Martin of Hepzibah, WV.
In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Haney; two brothers, Don DeWitt and Jack DeWitt.
Betty retired from Anchor Hocking Glass Company. She was a member of Hepzibah Baptist Church.
