Betty Jane “Betsy” Rich, age 76, of Manassas, VA passed away Monday, January 1, 2018 at her residence. She was born on March 7, 1941 in Alexandria, VA the daughter of the late William G. and Betty (Litaker) Schamberger. She was a retired secretary for the Alexandria City Schools. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Francis Rich. Survivors include two children, John F. Rich and wife Jane of Manassas, VA and, Holly V. Kennedy and husband Robert of Manassas, VA; Brother, William G. Schamberger and wife Judith of Gaithersburg, MD; sister, Becky Schamberger Scott and husband Steven of Manassas, VA; four grandchildren, Kathryn L. Rich, Zachary F. Rich, Joshua A. Wittenberg and wife Caroline, Steven M. Wittenberg; one Great grandchild, Jade Reese Wittenberg.
