Betty J. Pefley, 72, of Bloomington, passed away Saturday July 24, 2010 at Bloomington Hospital. She was born on December 1, 1937 in Indianapolis, Indiana the daughter of Robert L. Pefley and Merle “Shorty” Waggoner Pefley.
She moved to Bloomington in 1947. Betty is a member of Harrodsburg Assembly of God and loved serving her Heavenly Father. She was employed by the Monroe County Clerk’s office since 1979. She was preceded in death by her parents and survived by cousins Judy Thompson, Lebanon, Indiana and Jerry Smith, Frankfort, Indiana.
She is also survived by a lot of sisters and brothers in the Lord, her dog Robbie and by her work family at the County Clerk’s office, some of which she had worked with more than 30 years, and to which she added joy, laughter and sometimes confusion.
