Betty I. Kragness, 75, of Hanover Township, passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her loving family, on August 23, 2013. She fought a heroic 11 year battle with multiple myeloma. She was the loving wife of the late Roger C. Kragness, with whom she shared over 44 years of marriage. Born in Whitehall, Wisconsin, Betty was the daughter of the late Hilman and Margaret (Olson) Samuelson. Betty most enjoyed her marriage, family, church, neighbors, and Bridge friends. Betty was a member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church. She volunteered at her church in the “Sew and Sews” and the Cancer Societys Boutique at the Rink. Survivors: Sons, Richard R. Kragness and his wife Lauri of Pittsburgh, PA, Eric D. Kragness and his wife Pamela of Sinking Spring, PA, Peter B. Kragness of Easton and his former wife Christie Kragness of Pen Argyl, PA; grandchildren, Lindsay Griffel and her husband Ben Decker, Lauren Griffel, Haley, Dane, and Sierra Kragness, brother Donald Samuelson and his wife Mary of Eau Claire, Wisconsin; sister LaVonne Coover and her husband Lou of San Diego, CA. Betty was preceded in death by sisters Doris Lou Samuelson and Loretta Ross who is survived by her husband Bernie Ross; and a brother Wayne Samuelson, who is survived by his wife Mona Samuelson.
