Betty Bowen, age 84 of Murfreesboro, Arkansas died on Monday, September 13, 2021 in Nashville, Arkansas. She was born June 17, 1937 in Tokio, Arkansas the daughter of the late A.J. and Snow Steuart Compton.
Mrs. Bowen was a member of the First Baptist Church in Murfreesboro where she enjoyed faithfully participating at least once a week with Operation Christmas Child.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Emery Dale Wingrove Sr; her second husband Richard E. “Dick” Bowen; siblings Donald Compton, Ruth Beasley, and Marjorie Cummings; as well as one great-grandchild Jayna Eubanks.
Survivors include one son Dale Wingrove and wife Susan of Nashville; one daughter Lori Eubanks and husband Marvin of Saratoga; step children Carol Haney and husband Terry of TX, Delight Blount and husband Bennie of OK, Richard Bowen and wife Gaylene of AR, Debbie Bailey and husband Steve of IL, Melanie Belt and husband Ray of TX, and Jody Bowen and wife Teresa of AR; grandchildren Eric Eubanks, Rusty Steel, Regan Wakefield, Michelle Carter, Stephanie Bailey, Bennie Blount, Melissa Smittle, Rachel Morgan, Heather Rhodes, Elizabeth Topetta, Josh Bowen, Terra Bryant, Andrew Bailey, Ashleigh Blavesciunas, Matthew Belt, Kayla Milner, Martha Jo Bowen, Hannah Renfro, and Matt White; as well as 34 great grandchildren.
