DURHAM Bettie Jean Lassiter, 73, of Durham, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, September 25, 2012.Bettie was a native and lifelong resident of Durham. She retired from Woolworths and operated BB’s Daycare in her home for 10 years. She was of the Pentecostal faith. Bettie was an avid Tarheel Fan. She is survived by her sister, Martha Winders (James); nephews, Joel R. Winders (Meredith), Robert Rob C. Winders (Crystal), and Michael Winders; 1 great-niece, Katelyn Winders; 3 great-nephews, Levi Winders, Jacob Winders and Andrew Winders and extended Family, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
