Bettie J. Hering, 81, of 1690 Spring Run Road, died Friday, January 21, 2011 at The Williamsport Hospital Regional Medical Center.
Bettie’s husband, Maurice E. (Morris) Hering, died June 4, 2009.
Bettie was a member of the Living Church and enjoyed Sunday trips to church with her friends.
Bettie retired from West Fourth Manufacturers, was an avid bowler, and enjoyed playing setback and poker.
Born May 19, 1929 in Williamsport, she was the daughter of Charles and Jeanette Young Liddic.
Surviving are daughters, Patricia A. McMunn and Cindy M. (Thomas) O’Connor, both of Hughesville and Kathy E. (Bill) Karschner of Muncy; grandchildren, Albert (Erin) Stroble, Tammie (Mark) Hartland, Heather Briggs, Amy (Wes) Brink and Matthew Karschner; six great grandchildren and longtime friend, Joel Kyle.
Bettie was predeceased by brothers, Charles and Harold Liddic.
Bettie’s family would like to thank her caregivers, Judy Mills, Hollie Ranck and Tammie Briggs, for their loving care, which allowed her to remain in her home, with whom she became very good friends with.
