Bette Marie Hayworth Morris, age 80, died on June 13th, 2014 at the IU Health West Hospital in Avon, IN at approximately 7:30 a.m. Bette is survived by husband Richard Morris; children Linaye Lollar, Lance Williams and Laren Williams; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Bessie Campbell Hayworth and her eldest son Lane Stephen Williams, who died December 25th, 2007. Bette retired from Blue Cross in the 1980’s, then pursued other interests such as inside insurance sales and dealing in antiques with her husband Richard until her final retirement in 2001. Bette had a wonderful personality with a penchant for the brighter side of life. Her intelligence and uncanny memory, combined with her outgoing personality, made Bette a joy to be around and always the most popular person in the room. Bette had been invited to join MENSA, but declined, stating “they’re too serious.”
Bette will be missed by so many.
