Betsy Love Squires, 89, of 331 Shadowbrook Drive, Burlington, died on Wednesday, November 30th, 2016 in the company of family.
Known as “Bee” by loved ones, she was born to Gervas Edward Love and Grace Lea Brown Love on October 26th, 1927 in Alamance County. After attending Catawba College, Bee led a successful career as a systems analyst for over 18 years at Kayser Roth. She was an avid golfer, beach lover, knitter, bridge club member, and amazing cook.
She is survived by her loving husband of almost 70 years, Billy Hughes Squires; three children, Robert “Bobby” Squires, Mike and Anne Forbis, and Janet Elizabeth Squires; six grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.
Adored wife, mother, “Nanny Bee” and true friend to many, she was devoted to all her loved ones. She impacted everyone with her selfless love, devotion, humor, and southern charm. As a member of Peoples Memorial Christian Church, she loved her Creator and Savior and we are happy to rejoice in her true homecoming.
