Beth Ash Denslow, 40, of Durham, died Saturday, December 1st in Old Saybrook. Born in New Haven, she was the daughter of Melvin T. and Barbara (Eaton) Ash, Sr. of Durham. Beth grew up in Durham and lived in Centerbrook for many years. She loved animals, volunteered in various animal shelters and was also a talented potter. Besides her parents she is survived by her two greatest joys in life, a son; Beau E. Denslow of Centerbrook, and a daughter; Melanie R. Denslow of Oakland, CA. She is also survived by two brothers; Melvin T. Ash, Jr. of Oakland, CA, and his former wife Sara Owens, Brian W. Ash and his wife, Christy of Upton, KY, two sisters; Karin T. Ash and her husband Steven M. Esons of Charlestown, RI, Amy Ash Nixon and her husband, Michael of Kirby VT., eleven nieces and nephews; Aren, Ethan, JoHannah, Daniel, Molly, Elizabeth, Patience, Rose, Laura, Grady and Michael.
She is also survived by her former husband, Chris Denslow.
