ORANGE CO.-Bessie Jean Wheeler, 65, of 2409 Lonnie Circle, Hillsborough, died on Wednesday, April 6, 2011. She was the daughter of the late William Pearce and Bessie Driver Pearce. Mrs. Wheeler retired from Sperry Rand. She was a member of Orange Grove Baptist Church in Hillsborough. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Shelby is survived by her former husband, James L. Ray of Graham; 1 son, James M. Ray of Hillsborough; 1 sister, Janie Pope of Durham; 3 grandchildren, Brandy Riddle, Elizabeth Andrews and Dakota Hicks, 2 great-grandchildren, Amaya Gattis and Aaliyah Gattis.
