She was a Christian and was retired from Wilson Lumber Company where she was Credit Manager. Mrs. Gaither was preceded in death by her husband, Hamer Gaither, and by her son-in-law, James Howard Pierce. She is survived by her son, Don Gaither, and by her daughters, Sue Shockley and husband Johnny Jr and Wynelle Pierce. 5 Grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
