Bessie A. Judd, 93, of Freeport, died Friday, February 11, 2005 at Parkview Home.
Born August 16, 1911 in Freeport she was the daughter of Claude and Alta (Kelly) Thorp. She married Bernard M. Judd May 4, 1938 in Independence, Iowa and he died September 3, 1970 in Monroe, Wisconsin.
She was the oldest living baby born at the Globe Hospital. Bessie graduated from Winslow High School in 1928.She was a personal secretary for the Electric Company, Farm Bureau, Fairbanks Morse, and Kelly Springfield Tire Company. She was a member of Zion Church. A great traveler, she enjoyed her trips to Mexico, playing cards with her friends, and spending time with her family.
Surviving is one sister, Eva Bauch of Freeport; nieces, Sister Patricia Bauch O.P. of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Michaele “Mickey” (Patrick) Martin of Freeport, Karen Sue Dorrough of Woodland Hills, CA, Barbara Groves of Freeport, Cheryl Moore of Chicago, Christine (Brent Blake) Bauch of Aurora, Colorado; 1 nephew, Frederick (Angelika) Bauch of Pittsburgh, PA.; several great and great great nieces and nephews; and her sister in-law Polly Thorp of Freeport.
Her parents; husband; 1 infant sister; and 1 brother preceded her in death.
