Bertha R. Martin
The family of Bertha R. Martin, born September 24th, 1943 in Biloxi Mississippi, regrets to inform you that she has lost her battle with leukemia. She passed away peacefully at home in Kanes Creek, West Virginia surrounded by family and friends on May 25th, 2016.
Bertha was the daughter of the late Herman and Agnes Ryan of Biloxi, Mississippi. She was married for 57 years to James E. Martin who survives her in life. They had three children, Darwin Martin of Bradford, Pennsylvania, Susie Martin Taylor and husband Randy of Springfield, West Virginia, and Tracy Ray Martin and wife Patricia of Kanes Creek, West Virginia. She leaves four grandchildren, Jordan, Megan (husband Adam Harris), Nessie, and James Miguel Angel. Her only great grandchild is Maddie (Megan and Adam).
Special mention goes to Angie and Jessie White, Kelly Elder, Cheryl Hovatter, and Haymond Uphold.
Bertha requested that we not mourn her death, rather that we celebrate her life. We intend to honor her wishes and will announce celebration details at a later date.
