Bertha Graves, 92, of Three Oaks, Michigan died Thursday morning, July 21, 2005.Mrs. Graves was born May 20, 1913, the daughter of John and Hazel (Dayton) Malady. She graduated from New Carlisle High School, and was employed by Whirlpool, retiring in 1978 after 19 years in administration. Mrs. Graves was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in St. Joseph, Michigan.

She was an avid gardener and member of various garden and ladies groups in the St. Joseph area. In 1986, she married Lawrence Graves in Three Oaks.Survivors include her husband, Lawrence of Three Oaks; brothers Keith Malady of New Carlisle, Indiana and John Malady of Lafayette, Indiana, a sister, Jean Calvert of Lafayette, sister-in-law, Sally Malady of New Carlisle, step daughters, Gloria Graves and Connie Graves, both of Three Oaks and Bonnie Klute of South Bend, Indiana, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Elroy Damron, and by her brothers, Melvin Malady and Dewayne Malady.
