Bernice Wyatt Wilson Hooker, 86, of 6181 Dry Fork Road, Dry Fork, VA went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, August 26, 2012. She was born June 5, 1926 in Callands, VA, the daughter of the late Gracie Martin Wyatt and the late John Wyatt. She worked for a time at Dan River, Inc. and was a homemaker by profession. She was a member of Emmanuel Pentecostal Holiness Church, Dry Fork, VA and was a former Sunday School nursery worker for more than 25 years. Mrs. Hooker was first married to the late James A. Wilson, Sr. and later married to the late Harvey L. Hooker. She is survived by a host of family members including one son, James Allen Wilson, Jr. of Danville; one daughter, Belinda W. Calloway of Dry Fork, VA; one brother, Earl R. Wyatt of Danville; four sisters: Christine W. Gilmore and Hazel W. Ogle of Danville, Gracie W. Haynes of Callands, VA and Jerrine W. Wallace of Dry Fork, VA. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Brian Calloway, Beth Keesee and Tyler Calloway and two great-grandchildren, Camden Calloway and Carly Calloway. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Leslie Wyatt, Averette Wyatt and Joe Wyatt; one sister, Beatrice Stowe; and one grandson, James A. Wilson, III.
