Bernice McSwain was born in Siler City, North Carolina to the late Estella McSwain and Glen Harris on March 3, 1952. She departed this life February 6, 2020 at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford, North Carolina.
She attended Chatham County Schools and worked a few different jobs in Siler City for a number of years. The majority of her adult life she had an in-home daycare.
Bernice attended the PACE Senior Care Center during the weekdays. She enjoyed several activities there; playing bingo was what she loved the most:
Bernice loved her jewelry, dressing nice and smelling good. She loved being glamorous. She spoiled her grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
She was caring and loving to everyone she met. You never saw her without a smile. Before her illness impaired her, cooking was one of her favorite things to do. She also loved to sew.
Bernice leaves to cherish her loving memories: daughters, Anita McSwain, Loretta McSwain (Maurice), Dana McSwain (Malik) and Andrea McSwain (Timmy), all of Siler City, North Carolina; one son, Tracy McSwain (Renita) of Williams, Arizona; an aunt, Evelyn McSwain of Siler City, North Carolina; nine grandchildren, Adrienna, Breyana, Deandria, TJ, Taishayla, Kayin, Jaliyah, Markel and Cassidy; and a host of other relatives and friends.
