Bernice L. (Wheatley) Singleton, 80, of Cedar Bluff, Alabama died on Thursday, December 29, 2016, in Franklin. She was born on April 28, 1936, in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, to her parents, William and Roxanne (Dunn) Wheatley.
She was an owner/operator of a roller skating rink in Kentucky. Bernice enjoyed having a weekly girl’s night out called, “Pizza and wine with the Girls”. She was a good cook and loved to look at pictures of her children and grandchildren. Bernice enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She retired to Ocala, Florida for awhile.
She is survived by her husband, Gene Singleton of Alabama, four children, Kenneth (Leah) Baggett of Whiteland, Jack (Pamela) Baggett, Jackie (Chuck) Thomas both of Greenwood, and Debbie (David) Orr of Brown County, one sister, Betty Underwood of Texas, five grandchildren, Jessee Baggett, Danielle Johnson, Brandon Orr, David Orr, and Dillon Orr, and five great-grandchildren.
Bernice was preceded in death by her first husband, Odell Baggett, a son, Larry Baggett, her parents, William and Roxanne Wheatley, and seven siblings.
