Bernice Irene Sayers, 102, of Anderson, passed away on August 10, 2017 at the Edgewater Woods Nursing Home Anderson, IN. She was born on January 10, 1915 in Middletown, Indiana and resided most of her life in Anderson.
She retired as a cook for Cadiz School and also owned Bluebird Cafe in Sulphur Springs.
She was a member of Unity Church in Anderson.
Bernice is survived by her half sibling, Louann Parmer; step-grandchildren, Kathy (Jim) Graeber, Bonnie (Mike) Vorst, Ronnie Sayers, many other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Garlia Sayers, son, Michael Sayers, mother, Leota (Lee) Kirk, father, James Kirk, step-sons, Mack Sayers and Leslie Sayers; siblings, Beulah Elsea and James Kirk; half siblings, Martha Ervin, Pete Kirk, Bill Kirk, Charlene Saunders and Gene Kirk.
