Bernice Gorisek, 93, formerly of Oglesby, died at 4:58 p.m. Saturday, July 28, 2007, at Illinois Valley Community Hospital in Peru. She had resided at LaSalle Healthcare Center since September of 2006. She was born May 26, 1914, in Minonk, to Michael and Viola (Potter) Safranki.
She married Edward F. Gorisek on Sept. 9, 1932, in Oglesby. She was a homemaker. She is survived by 3 daughters, Nancy (Ernesto) Garcia of Jacksonville, Fla., Joyce (Larry) Coble of LaSalle and Fern (John) Regina of LaSalle; 5 sons, Edward Gorisek Jr. of Peru, Robert (Lila) Gorisek of Buford, Georgia, William Gorisek of LaSalle, Harvey Pinky (Karen) Gorisek of Oglesby and Henry (Gayle) Gorisek of Winder, Georgia; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Darlene (Gene) Gallegos of LaSalle; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in December of 1985; 1 sister; and 4 brothers.
