Bernice was the first of eight children born to Chris and Nettie Broder on January 30, at Bloomfield Nebraska.
Bernie moved to Blackfoot Id in 1946 to work at State Hospital South (SHS). She left SHS and moved to Boise/Eagle in 1968 to follow her husband.
They moved to Meridian Idaho in December of 1998. She is survived by two sisters, Fern Schlautman and Laura Lou Grechel of Bloomfield Nebraska; Her husband of 48 years Herbert LaRue Bevington; step children Judy Bevington Cogburn, Janet Bevington, and Jerald Bevington; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by stepson James Bevington, stepdaughter Jean Stevens, and granddaughter, her parents, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters.
