Ms. Bernice Crayton Bennett, was born on March 25, 1949 in Seguin, Texas to the union of Sherman Crayton and Ethel Lee Crayton.
Bernice or Baby Sister as her family called her was born into the Canaan View Baptist Church in Seguin Texas and at an early age claimed Jesus Christ as her personal Savior. Canaan View Baptist Church was the focus of her religious training and service. She was a faithful member until she relocated to Houston Texas.
Bernice graduated from Seguin High School in Seguin, Texas. After graduation, she attended St. Phillips College in San Antonio earning her nursing degree. Bernice was also employed as a flight attendant but her favorite job was a Floriculturist.
Bernice went to be with the Lord on February 18, 2021. She leaves to cherish her legacy, Daughter, Monique Bennett (Richard Abbs), Son Archie Bennett, Jr. of Houston, Texas; Brothers Michael Wilson of Hill City, Kansas; Charles Coleman of Austin, Texas; Gerald Wilson, Timothy Wilson (Shelly) of Denver, Colorado; Sisters Wanda Coleman of Austin, Texas; Jacqueline Coleman of Pflugerville, Texas; Aunt, Eva Wilborn of Cypress, Texas, Cousins Jean Hammond of Cypress, Texas, Sharon Wright of Houston, Texas, Elaine Jackson of Brookshire, Texas and Best Friend for over 50 years Lessie Nash of Houston, Texas. Seven Grandchildren, Kristopher Bennett, Sideria Holmes, Bria Tillis, TreSion W. Bennett, Amari W. Bennett of Houston, Texas; Marissa Bennett, Mariah Bennett of Baytown, Texas and Four Great Grandchildren, Kenya White, Braelyn White, Joshua Mickens, Jaylen Mickens of Houston, Texas. She was preceded in death by her Father and Mother, Brothers, Milton Crayton, Sherman Coleman; Sister Kathy Bryant. Her memory will be forever held by a host of other close relatives and friends.
