Bernard A. (Nardy) Woods, Sr. Aug. 13, 1926-Nov. 26, 2010 Mr. Woods was born in Birmingham, one of 14 children. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force in WWII and Korea. He loved fishing on the coast, and having his family for Sunday morning breakfast with gravy and biscuits. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Doris; children, Andy (Kathy), Larry (Sherl), Steve (Deb), Diane Mitchell (Hershel), Trudy Woods (Bill Dorsey), and Scott; grandchildren, Trey Woods (Mary), Brad Woods, Jeffery Woods, Lauren Woods, Greg Woods, Ginger Woods, James Alan Woods, Spivey Woods, Carter Mitchell, Jake Mitchell, Jennifer Moore and Charles Nelson; and great-grandson, Blake Woods; sister, Alice Roberts; and a loving extended family of in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
