WINSTED-FIELDS – Bernard L. Fields, Sr., 96, entered into rest on Thursday, December 3, 2020. He was the loving husband of the late Margaret (Hanley) Fields for 60 years. Born January 9, 1924 in Winchester; he was the son of the late Clifford and Julia (Hunker) Fields. Bernard was a lifelong resident of Winsted. Attended schools in Winsted, graduate of Gilbert School. Formerly employed as a Machinist in Winsted. He also served in The US Army during WW II and was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church. He is survived by his son, David Fields; and two grandchildren, Brooke and David. He was predeceased by his son, Bernard Fields, Jr., and daughter, Theresa Giglio.
