Bernard B. “Ben” Rosinski, 91, of LaSalle, passed away, Monday, July 17, 2017 at Heritage Manor in Peru.
Mr. Rosinski was born October 29, 1925 in LaSalle to Constantine and Hattie (Tomaszewski) Rosinski.
He married Mary A. Garncarz on July 1, 1950 at St. Valentine’s Church in Peru.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II in the European and Pacific theaters of operation. He was a member of St. Valentine’s Church in Peru and was a charter member of LaSalle Catholic War Veterans.
He worked at several gas stations before becoming a security guard at St. Mary’s Hospital in LaSalle and later at Illinois Valley Community Hospital, where he retired. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and tinkering in the garage.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; four children, David (Paula) Rosinski of South Elgin, James Rosinski of Indianapolis, IN, Gerald Rosinski of Hertford, NC and Rose Rosinski of LaSalle; one grandson, Michael Rosinski and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and nine brothers and sisters.
