Bernadette T. Hearne nee Wares 82, of Toms River, NJ died on Sunday November 2, 2014 at Green Acres Manor, Toms River, NJ. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY she has lived in Toms River for the last 50 years. Bernadette worked as an Executive Assistant at the Bank of New York in New York City.
She later worked as the Housekeeper at St Joseph’s RC Church in Toms River, NJ for 22 years. She was a member of St Joseph’s RC Church, Toms River and a founding member of St Justin’s RC Church and their Rosary Society also of Toms River. Bernadette was dedicated to her family and her grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband Francis Xavier Sr. her son Francis Xavier Jr, a brother Joseph Wares and a sister Helen Mc Court.
Surviving is her son Eugene of Toms River, her son Thomas of Glastonbury, Conn. 3 daughters Jeanine Hearne- Barsamian of Princeton, NJ, Bernadette M. Hearne of Toms River, Nancy Hearne of Rutherford. 2 brothers Thomas Wares of Australia and James Wares of Sarasota, Florida. 3 sisters Barbara M. Glone of East Islip, NY, Kathe Bolger of Emmaus, Pa and Josephine Wares of Brooklyn, NY and 9 loving grandchildren.
