Bernadette H. Shelly,73, of Salisbury Twp., passed away peacefully on Monday, October 13, 2008, at VNA Hospice of St. Luke’s in Lower Saucon Twp., Pa. She was the wife of Roy O. Shelly. They would have been married 15 years this coming Thursday. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Lucy (Smith) Haggerty. Bernadette worked for the former A & B, Salisbury School District and later for Stroh Brewery Co. until retiring in 1997. Survivors: she will be lovingly remembered by her husband Roy at home; daughter Cynthia Knauss and her husband Glenn, foster daughter Sandra Yodizio all of Salisbury Twp.; step-daughter Patricia Berezny and her husband John of Virginia; step-son Craig Shuman and his wife Kathleen of Pennsburg; sister Anna Cullen and brother Charles Haggerty and his wife Shirley all of Allentown; grandchildren Christopher and Sara; step-grandchildren Damian, Joanna, Elizabeth and Susan; nieces and nephews and loved ones. She was predeceased by her sister Alice Haggerty.
